ผ้าม่านรถยนต์ หลังจากติดตั้งและใช้งานไปแล้ว
ก็ควรต้องมีการดูแลทำความสะอาดเพื่อทำให้ผ้าม่านมีความสวยงามและมีการใช้
งานคงทน ยาวนาน เมื่อใช้ไประยะหนึ่งถึงเวลาก็ต้องนำผ้าม่านมาซัก
ทำความสะอาด โดยการถอดม่านออกมาซัก เฉลี่ยแล้วควรซักทุก 6-10 เดือน
เพื่อขจัดฝุ่น อันเป็นสาเหตุทำให้ผ้าม่านหมองและเก่าเร็ว
และทำลายสุขภาพผู้โดยสาร
วิธีการถอดผ้าม่านออกมาซัก สามารถทำได้ดังนี้
1. อันดับแรกให้แกะจุก ที่อยู่ปลายรางออก
จุกดังกล่าวมีไว้เพื่อถอดผ้าม่านออกจากราง
ค่อยๆนำลูกล้อที่ติดกับผ้าม่านออกทีละตัว
ระวังอย่าฝืนหรือบิดแรงเกินไปเพราะอาจทำให้ลูกล้อเสียหายได้
กรณีที่รางไม่ได้เจาะจุกกลมสำหรับไว้ถอดม่าน
ให้ใช้ไขควงตัวเล็กที่ปลายไขควงไม่ใหญ่กว่าร่องราง
ถอดเอาสกรูที่ยึดหัวท้ายรางออกมา ระวังร่องรางเป็นรอย
หลังจากนั้นดึงหัวท้ายออกแล้วรูดผ้าม่านออกทั้งหมด
พอถอดม่านแล้วให้ใส่หัวท้ายกลับเข้าตามเดิมทันที
เพื่อป้องกันไม่ให้หัวท้ายหาย
2. ทำตำหนิผ้าม่าน เพื่อจะได้ทราบตำแหน่งว่าผ้าม่านชิ้นไหน อยู่ตรงไหน
ด้านไหนบน ด้านไหนล่าง เพื่อสะดวกในการกลับนำมาใส่ภายหลัง
หลังจากที่ถอดผ้าม่านออกหมดทุกชุดแล้ว
3. นำผ้าม่านเข้าเครื่องซักผ้า ซักแบบผ้าปกติเหมือนซักผ้าทั่วไป
โดยไม่ต้องนำลูกล้อออกจากผ้าม่านเปรียบลูกล้อคือกระดุมเสื้อไม่มีผลเรื่อง
เครื่องซักหรือทำให้ลูกล้อเสียหาย
4. ซักเสร็จเมื่อผ้าแห้งนำผ้าไปรีดให้เรียบด้วยไฟอ่อนๆ
นำกลับมาใส่เข้าที่เดิมตามจุดถอดมา
5. ก่อนใส่ม่านกลับคืนควรทำความสะอาดรางม่านก่อน
โดยใช้ผ้าแห้งนุ่มเช็ดรอบรางและร่องรางเมื่อสะอาดแล้วให้เอาผ้าชิ้นเล็กพอที่
จะสอดเข้าภายในร่องรางได้ ชุบน้ำมันจักรแล้วเช็ดรูดไปรูดมา
ให้ดูว่าน้ำมันติดที่ร่องรางพอประมาณ ทำเช่นเดียวกันกับรางทุกดัว
แล้วเปิดจุกหรือหัวท้ายออก นำมาม่านมาใส่จุดเดิม
หลังใส่เสร็จรูดผ้าม่านไปมาให้น้ำมันจักกระจายให้ทั่วราง
ผ้าม่านจะรูดง่ายขึ้น
สำหรับรางม่านควรทำความสะอาดเป็นประจำ
เพื่อช่วยไม่ให้ฝุ่นละอองจับในร่องราง
